No Choice But To Think Cam Skattebo Is Going To End Up A Giants Legend After Hearing Demario Davis Describe His Running Style As A 'Bad Little Kid'
Obviously this past week sucked. A ton of mistakes, looked like shit after opening up the game early, turnovers, all the normal stuff we got used to seeing with the Giants. But then I saw this and all my faith in Cam Skattebo was restored. I don't know if it's the fact I can picture the exact kid and moment Demario Davis is talking about. Any person with kids or been around kids knows the moment. You grab your kid, the feet are wailing, they are going a mile a minute and you're holding them around the belly, similar to a football.
Also what restored my faith was seeing this:
Can run, can block and can act. A perfect trio for someone coming out of the backfield. Look, I'm trying to stay hopeful here with the Giants. They've given me numerous reasons not to, but then I see the Jaguars get the right coach (Kentucky) and everything changes. Now, if we can stop the nepotism in the Giants front office, figure out who the hell should be running this team and let Jaxson Dart grow while getting Malik Nabers healthy, we might be onto something. That's all I have to hang hope on.
But if Cam Skattebo can win over someone like Demario Davis, he's won over me. I have no doubt that he will become a Giants legend, a guy we talk about decades after he hangs up the cleats. Just need him to you know, not fumble, and keep running like a bad little kid. There is nothing people want to deal with less than bad little kids. It's the ultimate compliment for a running back, so yeah, future back on.
