Get Ready To Learn Jayden, Buddy: The Next 7 Commanders Games Are On National Television
Thank goodness Jayden is back from his knee injury and looking 100% (errr…90%) healthy because woo boy, the NFL truly is banking on him. After being the bell of the ball last season, Goodell hunkered down into his weird recliner and said "MORE JAYDEN, ALL THE TIME" and the schedule makers obliged. Wanting to make their dear leader happy, they scheduled 8 straight, yes EIGHT straight, national televised games, including yesterday's win over the Chargers.
For the record, I'm including the 4:25 "America's game of the week" as nationally televised so if you don't count that, sorry for that. If you don't count it, it's still 5 of the next 7.
And the good news for non-Commies fans- the games are good. Caleb vs Jayden showdown on Monday night, Dallas which is always fun, and then Jayden vs Mahomes back on Monday night. There's also a Lions rematch and the 9:30am game vs the Dolphins in lovely Madrid.
If yesterday's game after the 1st quarter is any indication, these games are going to be electric. Jayden and Bill are the best 1-2 punch at QB/RB we've seen in a long time. If Terry can get healthy, watch out. But even without him the offense has been great, thanks to Deebo who is playing at a Pro Bowl level and is easily our offensive MVP thus far.
The defense is shaky, no denying that. Can't put a tonnnnn of merit into the pass rush yesterday, unfortunately. I don't want to discredit getting 5 sacks and constant pressure on Herbert but my god the Chargers should be charged with malpractice for their offensive line. I've never seen such a bad offensive line in my life. But hopefully this lights a spark. It's amazing what a good pass rush can do for a team, especially the secondary. Really wish we had a consistent edge rusher, as the secondary has been picked apart all season besides yesterday when Herbert had .5 seconds to throw.
Yeah I bet the general public will be sick of this team by Thanksgiving but after so many bad years I'm glad we're getting some shine. To be honest it's a littttttttle much…7 in a row is too much for any team. Joey Commonman in Iowa is going to know every player. But shit, I'm excited. MVP and Super Bowl seasons…back on!
