Introducing The World To Uncle Vin Mezz ... A One Of One Character In The World Of Concrete
I spent a day with the absolute characters of Mezzacappa Concrete on Staten Island. The backbone of America is small businesses and Barstool has always been supportive of those, look no further than Dave and The Barstool Fund back during Covid. Whenever I'm approached out on the streets or at events or even in the DM's it's always people who are blue collar workers saying they watch our stuff in their office or out at their jobsite etc. Stoolies are all over the job sites and always seem like characters, so when I was working through new ideas for a video series, I thought heavily about bringing back Bench Mob there was no better way than to check a few boxes of what makes Barstool Barstool and that's working a day in the life of the common man, as well as highlighting some of the terrific small businesses we have in this country, as well as trying to learn just how hard, weird or interesting some of these jobs really are. Thus... Bosco Industries was born.
Episode One takes us to the borough of Staten Island where we meet Uncle Vin who if they created a character of someone who works in concrete for 45 years ... this is the guy. The accent, the cut off sweatshirt from 1997, the sunglasses, and the constant repeating of his jokes like he's Paulie Walnuts. Textbook. I was in tears the entire day. When of course I wasn't lifting the smallest rocks possible.
For as funny as he is, he also says some beautiful stuff about life, and how rewarding it is to work with your family everyday and get to break chops with his son, brothers, and nephews, and that's really what it's all about.
Go check out Bosco Industries on Youtube, Tiktok, and Instagram and be on the lookout for the rest of this season, and some big things coming in 2026. The email for any jobs you want to see/suggest are always open : Jetski@Barstoolsports.com
