True Love: Is Proposing At NYC Intern And Tourist Hotspot Mr. Purple The Most Romantic Proposal Of All Time?

Listen, I understand this is going to make sense to only a small percentage of blog readers. You're either in one of three categories: someone who lives in NYC and understands Mr. Purple lore, a tourist that went there because they were recommended it, or someone who has never been and never heard of this place. If you clicked this blog and are the latter, then you might just be bored but listen, there's far less interesting topics on this site. Anyway, if you want a little bit of context, Mr. Purple is an intern hotspot that comes alive in the summer due to their rooftop with "sweeping views of the city skyline" (someone else's words, not mine).

This is Mr. Purple:

I remember we had a holiday party one year there before the NYC office became smithereens and it was sorta a good time. I don't really remember anyone that was there except Jim Florentine (RIPIP) who was an absolute legend walking around signing autographs for guys like Quigs who have been lifelong fans. What a time. And I have nothing bad to say other than the chance you find the love of your life there is slim to none, but I may be getting proven wrong judging by this proposal that has been making waves in NYC.

Anyway, I'd like to believe this was a truly romantic story of two people who met at the rooftop their first weekend in NYC, potentially one they got in using identification that didn't belong to them, somehow started dating for years, and became lovers for eternity. There's nothing like love that blossoms from the deepest pits, in this particular case maybe some $24 vodka red bulls. And they say romance is dead. Congratulations to the happy couple.
