The CEO Of Live Nation Wants Concert Tickets To Be Even More Expensive

*Plugging my own tweet because this clip of Dave makes me laugh every time*

This fucking guy Michael Rapino needs to be...well I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say beat with a hammer, but he needs to be bullied for sure. A swirly or something. Hung by his underbritches from a door. Duct taped to a wall Handsome Hank style. Not just because he's the CEO of one of the most corrupt, disgusting companies to ever fuck the hard working American out of our hard working money, but now because he's doubled down on his commitment to being a scumbag.

Saying concert tickets aren't expensive enough would be like Oppenheimer saying he needs to make a bigger bomb. It'd be like Ben Mintz saying he needs more days off work. It'd be like Jeff D Lowe saying The Dozen season needs to be longer. Need I go on? An absolutely preposterous thing for the CEO of Live Nation to say out loud to the general public. We as common men let these CEOs do whatever they want and there's really nothing we can do about it. We can't boycott because they have a monopoly on the whole damn thing. Bands and comedians have tried to skirt the system but all the venues are tied to Live Nation too. There's no avoiding their overpriced tickets and exorbitant fees. And now he wants to charge you MORE!

Something's gotta give, right? The consumer continues to get fucked left and right, hand over fist. Between bots and prices it's nearly impossible for a family to go see a concert anymore. It sucks. Like, if you want to take your kid to see Taylor or Olivia or the Jonas Brothers or whatever, better pick up an extra shift down at the mill. I can't imagine the stress of the average worker with a family and a mortgage just trying to take their kid to a show. And now Michael Rapino wants you to pay even more. Disgusting.

And it's everywhere. TKO, the company that now owns WWE, openly admitted to trying to price families out.

I just…it's insane. And this is what they say out loud.

Unfortunately this is the norm now and CEOs will continue to squeeze every nickel out of us so they can buy a new yacht. Nothing is about the good of the consumer or the good of the community or the good of the working class anymore. Sad, sad, sad.
