Lane Kiffin's Daughter Made a Slideshow That May Have Kept Him From Taking the Auburn Job

What a week for the Kiffin family. Lane's Ole Miss team has a huge game against LSU on Saturday, his daughter Landry hard launched a relationship with LSU linebacker Whit Weeks ahead of the matchup and an ESPN documentary chronicling Lane's career comes out tonight.

And it seems like Rebels fans may owe Landry Kiffin a massive thank you for her father still being in Oxford.

There was a ton of smoke surrounding Kiffin and Auburn when that job was open several years ago, with one reporter even claiming Kiffin had agreed to become the next head coach of the Tigers. Kiffin called out the reporter and obviously ended up staying at Ole Miss while Auburn eventually hired Hugh Freeze.

From the promo clip for tonight's documentary, however, it sure sounds like Kiffin probably would have left for Auburn were it not for the influence of his daughter. Who knows when he saw that slideshow in relation to when the report about his departure came out, but it seems safe to deduce that reporter probably had good information that had changed at the last minute.

What a different world the SEC could be right now if the Lane Train had gone to The Plains. Hugh Freeze seemingly owes Landry Kiffin a nice gift, too.
