Shots From The Sets Of The New Harry Potter Series Are Giving Me Even More Hope Than I Expected

To the casual Harry Potter (movie) fans, this means next to nothing. "Oh, we have a man in a suit knocking over a man in a purple cloak? A likely thing to happen in Harry Potter!" For those of us who are true book mavens, we recognize this scene immediately from Book 1, Chapter 1:

Ah, yes. A day that lives in infamy - the day Voldemort DISAPPEARED (the first time.) Vernon Dursley went to work and noticed a lot of funny people celebrating in the streets, including a a man in a violet cloak. Do we hear about this man again? Well, yes (but things do start to get confusing….):

Now we've got a man with a purple top hat bowing to Harry….and on a separate occasion, we have a man with a purple coat shaking his hand. Lots of purple in the wizarding world I guess….who is this/these guy/s?

Ahhhh of course, Dedalus Diggle! And confirmed, casted as the man who got knocked over by Vernon Dursley, is DD:
I have always assumed this was the same event - a wizard in all purple (which does happen to be the robe color denoted for those on the Wizengamot [basically the Wizard's Supreme Court]), bowing and shaking hands. I never noticed it was technically two different moments and you know what? I don't care. This man has always been Dedalus Diggle, and he always will be. He's allowed to have a purple hat AND a purple cloak!
I am over the moon to see this kind of attention to detail in this series. If we're getting DEDALUS DIGGLE, we're getting it all. No such thing as small parts, only small actors. Every single piece of this story is relevant in one way or another. Even Dedalus is important for context throughout the series, not only in Book 1, but (SPOILERS INCOMING):
Book 5, he appears as a member of the Order of the Phoenix to help bring Harry to 12 Grimmauld Place:

AND Book 7, with the extremely important task of protecting and hiding the entire Dursley family (only to later have his house burned down, just for being in the OOTP):

Really, if not for Harry, Dedalus would probably be burned to death in his house. Imagine going from bumping into Vernon Dursley on the street, to 17 years later being his entire family's protector? Talk about invisible strings!!!!
ANYWAY, all this to say, I'm thrilled about what I'm seeing and all of my book lovers should be too. They've even cast Professor Vector, Hermione's Ancient Ruins teacher that she only references in passing in Book 3!!!
Movie people aren't ready for all of the detail that's about to rain down on them!!!!
2027 can't come soon enough.
