Yeah, No Duh: Saquon Barkley Has Been Named The Best Football Player In The World By His Peers

It would be damn near impossible for anybody to go out and have the year that Saquon Barkley had last season. He comes over to a new team and immediately turns into the most unstoppable force on the planet. He joined the exclusive 2K club after rushing for 2,005 yards. He was the Offensive Player of the Year. He should have been the league MVP if the NFL wasn't just a PR firm trying to hype up Josh Allen. He had the signature moment of the season with the reverse hurdle. And, oh yeah, he became a Super Bowl Champion for the first time in his career.
The media and the fans always have ways to twist and turn rankings in order to fit a certain narrative. Fans have too much bias. The media is always trying to generate engagement. The only rankings that actually truly matter are the ones that are coming from the guys who are actually on the field. The guys who truly know if you've got it like that, or you don't. And according to the rest of the players in the NFL, there's nobody out on that field who is better than Saquon Barkley.
I know it's been over a year. I know they've already gotten over it, and understand that it never would have gone this way if he stayed in New York. But this is a phenomenal last little kick to the dick of Giants fans everywhere. It would be like finally getting over a brutal breakup, you're starting to feel like yourself again and ready to get back out there, and the first thing you see is your ex was just voted the hottest chick on the planet by every other chick in the world.
And as for Eagles fans, it's the perfect time to finally stop thinking about Saquon as a Giant all together. He'll always be remembered as an Eagle. It's where he's won his Super Bowl. It's where some of the best plays of his career were made. It's where the Eagles have had a 2000-yard rusher for the first time in franchise history. And it's the first time the Eagles have had a player named #1 on the NFL's Top 100.
We've never been able to head into a season before as both the reigning Super Bowl Champs, and having the best player in the league on our roster. This is brand new territory for Eagles fans everywhere. It's exciting. It's nerve wracking. It's everything you'd want to start off a new season. Philly is always great at playing the underdog. Now it's time to see how this team can handle being the top dog.
