Why Is The National Media Giving Arch Manning A Free Pass And Not Giving Ohio State Their Flowers?

If I see one more member of the National Media say that Arch will be fine and had a tough first matchup and just needs a little more experience, I'm going to explode. And I'm not trying to knock the kid. That is probably a true statement, but how can the narrative change this fast? Because the National Media anointed him the "greatest college football QB in the last 20 years" this offseason. And now they're giving him a free pass? You guys over hyped him! Now own it! If he was as good as you said he was, he wouldn't have been as bad as he was yesterday.

Again, I'm cheering for the kid, I really am. But I'm completely lost as to how people sucked his dick for the entire offseason and now the narrative is we need to give him some time to develop. No shit!!! That's what we were all saying this entire offseason!

Anyways, onto my next issue: why the fuck can't we just give Ohio State their flowers? YOU GUYS named Texas the #1 team in the country. Ohio State was the clear and obvious choice, seeing as they are the defending National Champions and bring back the best offensive player in the entire sport, the best defensive player in the entire sport, and the best coach in the entire sport. But no! Texas is so loaded and has such a great QB and such a great defense that it would be a crime to put them #2, so you guys named them the best team in the country. And when Ohio State shuts them down and has little Julian Sayin come out and outplays the second coming of Christ and the defense that lost 7 starters looks even better than last year, we can't give them their flowers? Now all of a sudden it's Texas might not be as good as we thought? Get the fuck outta here.

And let me finish with this: I want to buy any and all stock that the internet appears to be selling of Julian Sayin. Because although it appears the media is giving free passes to QBs that made their first big start yesterday, Julian doesn't need one. He did exactly what Ryan Day asked him to do yesterday: Beat Texas. And the haters are going to look real dumb when that changes to Day asking him to start slinging it all over the field, because he can and will.

When has beating the #1 team in the country not been good enough?????
