Florida State QB Thomas Castellanos Talked Crazy Shit About Alabama Since June and Then Went Out and Actually Kicked Their Ass

Nobody in sports history has ever called his shot better than Thomas Castellanos. A transfer quarterback who was benched at Boston College a year ago transferred to a Florida State program that won two games in 2024, said the preeminent power in college football over the past two decades couldn't stop him and then couldn't have been more correct. What a beast.

Alabama came into Kalen DeBoer's second season with many prognosticators not only predicting the Tide to make the College Football Playoff, but win it. And just one game in, there are more questions in Tuscaloosa than in an SAT practice book.

Bama is 5-5 in its last 10 games. DeBoer has four losses as a two-touchdown or more favorite in just 14 games as the head coach. There are people old enough to drink who didn't even know it was legal for Alabama to look like this.

But the current state of the Crimson Tide shouldn't take away from what Castellanos and Florida State did today. The Seminoles went out there and absolutely dominated what's supposed to be one of the best rosters in the country. Bama didn't have an answer for Castellanos defensively or for FSU's defensive line on the other side of the ball. It was a complete and thorough ass whooping.

Good for Tommy and the Noles. Maybe there will be a bigger turnaround in Tallahassee than we thought.
