The Backstreet Boys Show At The Sphere Is Apparently So Successful That They Are Pulling In $4 MILLION Per Night
Source - The Backsteet Boys are winning big in Sin City ... because we found out how much they are raking in with their Las Vegas residency ... and it's a huge figure.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the band is grossing $4 million a night for their ongoing residency at the Sphere.
Here's how they're pulling in that much on the daily ... our sources say there's not much overhead or significant expenses involved -- they paid a one time fee of about $7 to $8 million for all the graphics they use in their shows -- and they've more than recouped what they spent on creative.
The Sphere has about 17,000 seats and the shows are selling out ... but the real key here is all the VIP tickets, platinum tickets and travel packages that go into the pot and contribute to their gross profits.
One Sphere insider tells us entertainers can make as much money at the Sphere as they can on a stadium tour ... and the fact the Backstreet Boys are only in Vegas and not traveling is helping their bottom line too.
53, 51, 50, 47, 45 - those are the current ages of The Backstreet Boys. They peaked in 1999. Their last single charted at number 63 on The Billboard Hot 100 in 2018, which is actually kind of impressive. Every one of these dudes is married with kids young enough to have no idea just how big of a deal their fathers were....until now. These mother fuckers have sold out all 21 shows with an average ticket price of $981.71. Think about that. And it's all millennial slobs who are going too. Girls who I graduated high school with whose very screams will send a chill down your spine.
I never got into the boy band thing, mostly because the music was horrific, but I get it. These guys came up during a time when the internet was in it's infancy. When you couldn't fire up Instagram and decide who was hot, you had to be told who the heart throbs were by MTV and Vh1. They deicded what was cool and what was "in"...and for 10 years it was the Backstreet Boys. Despite their massive success, they were robbed of nearly everything by Lou Pearlman, but that's neither here nor there. $4 million per night baby! I'd be curious to see how much they actually bring home. The show actually looks decent too...
It just goes show that if you can get over "the cringe" and put yourself out there, you can really make a lot of money. That goes for influencers and 90s boy bands alike. Oh well. Congrats to these dudes. Ride it till the wheels fall off, fellas.
