And Just Like That, The Guardians Have Lost 9 Of 10 And Haven't Scored A Run Since Friday

Hey, everyone has a bad game. How about the day before?

Yikes. But surely it was only a two game stretch, right?

My God, we haven't scored since FRIDAY (a game in which we blew the lead in the bottom of the 9th). That's now 6 straight losses and 9 of our last 10 games, putting us a mere 13 games out of the AL Central lead and only 5.5 out of the last Wild Card spot with 32 games to play! And after speaking to the coroner, I am declaring the season DEAD.

I wish I could say that we still have a month of ball left and just enough time to make up enough ground to play meaningful games at the end of September, but what's the point? We have the worst batting average in the league. Our run differential is -59. We are under .500 for goodness sakes. I want to be glass half full when it comes to this team, but alas, it's time to move on to football season.

And with that, I'll give this season an F- on the report card. Starting pitching was worse than expected. The lineup was flat out atrocious. We had had two players suspended for gambling on their own baseball games. And the bullpen regressed. And to top it all off, the Front Office knew this was a possibility because they did absolutely nothing in the off-season to make us better. We were 3 wins from playing in the World Series last year, and it's a damn shame we didn't at least try to make it back.

HERE WE GO BROWNIES, HERE WE GO! WOOF WOOF!
