Bryce Underwood Says "Nobody's Ever Seen A Freshman Like Me" Like The Entire Country Didn't Just Watch Jeremiah Smith Lead His Team To A Natty

So Bryce Underwood was named Michigan's starter late last night / early this morning. No shit, right? When you pay someone over $10 million to switch schools from where he wanted to go, to beg him to "stay home", you know damn well he was guaranteed the starting spot. Could you imagine? Hey, we had Oracle Boy write this man a 8 figure check to flip to a school he had no interest in until we gave him money that will set his family up for generations, but we're going to keep him on the sideline this year. Nah, it was a no-brainer.

Speaking of no-brainers....how about this quote he had the other day?

Very humble to say, but this kid might actually be a no-brainer. Aka he has nothing up there between the ears. No one has ever seen a freshman like you? My brother in Christ, the entire country just watched Jeremiah Smith lead the Buckeyes to a National Championship as the most talented player in the sport. I hate to rip an 18 year old but if he's saying things like this off the field, how can we expect him to make the right reads on the field?

Look I'm cheering for this Bryce Underwood kid. From watching his film, I personally think he's a better DB than QB based on his open field tackling after throwing interceptions, but I want him to do well. A rising tide lifts all ships and that's true for both Barstool and the conference. No one wants Bryce to be better than me, but maybe pump the breaks on the best freshman ever propaganda before even taking a snap? Win a Natty as a freshman and then we'll begin the discussion.
