Phillies Pitcher Matt Strahm Had To Remove A Glove He Wore To Honor Kids In The Little League Challenger Division That Had White On It (An MLB Violation) Only To Put On What Appears To Be A Glove With White In The Same Spot

I don’t like the Phillies but what’s right is right and I have to back them here. Let’s dive into it.

Matt Strahm is asked to remove a glove because it has white on it. Very much an MLB rule violation. Nats complain. Glove has to get removed.

However it’s revealed Strahm is wearing the glove to support the PA Little League team in the Challenger division. For those unfamiliar the Challenger division is “Little League's adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.” The glove was signed by those players.

Now you could say that’s a great gesture by Strahm and we wish he could wear it but rules are rules … EXCEPT

THE FUCKING GLOVE HE REPLACED IT WITH APPEARS TO HAVE WHITE IN THE SAME FUCKING SPOT !!!!!

So now what ? How can the glove basically have the same dilemma and it’s allowed but the first one isn’t.

Now listen, Nats manager Miguel Cairo could have had no clue Strahm did this or what’s it’s for. He’s not on his team, he’s not familiar with what guys will be wearing etc. so it’s very very likely he just didn’t know. BUT if he did, that’s a shit move. And again he looks like he is basically wearing a glove with white in the same spot. If he’s going to be a stickler - have that glove removed too.

Again, Cairo likely didn’t know so I’ll scrap this up to a shitty situation and an unfortunate situation but it’s worth noting - a beautiful gesture by Strahm and I’m glad he got to wear the glove, even for a short period of time and I hope those kids watching got a big smile.
