Shedeur Sanders Called Out A Cleveland Reporter After The Browns Preseason Win For Never Saying Anything Positive About Him
So the story of last night, aside from the Guardians making up another game in the AL Wild Card race to put them just 0.5 behind the Yankees with 3x their payroll, is that Shedeur Sanders put on a show in his first ever NFL start. It must be noted that it was a preseason game, which appears to be something that has been forgotten by the media in the last 24 hours.
Look, I'm a Shedeur Sanders fan. I want the Cleveland Browns to win the Super Bowl. There's nothing I'd like more than for him to be the savior of the franchise. But even I need to say cool the jets to some of the people on Twitter taking victory laps because he.....threw 2 touchdowns against the Panthers in Week 1 of the preseason. My guess is this doesn't really even do much for the Browns QB race? They only played Shedeur and Tyler Huntley, who may I inform you all, went 6 for 8 with a touchdown himself. If Shedeur is now a Hall of Famer, Huntley needs to be in contention.
Anyways, point of the blog is that after the big preseason win, Shedeur called out Browns reporter Tony Grossi for not having anything positive to say about him:
I genuinely don't know where I stand here. Because first and foremost, Tony Grossi sucks, so I'm happy he got called out! He is so negative and Shedeur is right, what did he ever do to him? But on the other hand, our 5th round pick played a good preseason game and is now confronting the media? Don't get me wrong, Shedeur should have a great article written in the papers today about his performance last night, but what happens if he plays poorly next week? Is the media going to confront Shedeur? Just seems like a weird move to me after preseason game 1, that's all. If Sheduer takes over QB1 and leads us to the playoffs and then says, hey Tony, fuck yourself.....I'd be the happiest man on the internet. But I think there's something to be said about letting your work speak for you, instead of speaking before you work.
**Thanks to Deion Sanders Jr for being there to capture the moment. That will continue to give us story after story for the Browns this season is that Shedeur is going to keep rolling deep with a camera crew and entourage
