She's been dominating the WWE for the past few years and it certainly makes sense why. She's an Australian born badass with no fucks to give and attitude in the ring we haven't seen since the glory days of the 1990's. Not to mention she's been pulled directly from the mold of an Amazon Warrior/Greek Goddess.
Simply put, she is Mami. And she's always on top.

Did I forget to mention she's an expert at entertainment too? And always knows how to honor the rasslin' legends that came before her? I know Rikishi is beaming cheek to cheek wherever he is right now.

Now entering the prime of her career, she's become a 5 tool grappler with every skillset you could want in a WWE Superstar. Body carved out of granite… Brains with the cheekiest dark side possible… Incredibly unique character design…
No matter how you slice it, that's a killer combination in any era. And having thighs that could choke anyone out in under 6.9 seconds certainly don't hurt either.

Recently I've been binging 'WWE Unreal' on Netflix and seen a whole other side of how Mami moves behind the scenes. It's kinda like 'Drive To Survive' but for wrestling instead of F1 racing. Some diehard fans have issues with it showing every little detail. Personally I've loved that inside look peeking through the kayfabe curtain. It's a salacious feeling.
Up until now I think 'Beyond The Mat' was the only grapplefuck content we got in that gonzo style. But that was way back in 1999… This is a way more streamlined version. And a fascinating watch whether you fuck with wrestling or not.

Feels like we're in a pretty great era for wrestling right now. There's healthy competition between multiple companies and more exposure than ever thanks to social media. What seemed like a weakness (revealing too much) can now be a strength. And storylines have been in mostly good hands with Triple H & The Final Boss Rock handling things at the top.
But I'm just glad we get to live in the same era as future Hall of Famer Rhea Ripley. Crazy to say, but she very well could end up as the greatest women's wrestler ever. And honestly with how elite her grappling skills are & how insatiable her bloodlust is… Maybe greatest ever period?
I could be biased since we just became close friends. And that's very okay with me. She'll always have a friendly bloke here at Barstool Sports. I really gotta go order some Tim Tams to seal the deal though. Australian biscuits are ALWAYS on top. Mami knows best.
