'We'll Work Through It Or We Won't' - Jerry Jones Thought Micah Parsons Agreed To A New Contract Because Of A Handshake, Never Put It In Writing

I can't get enough of Jerry Jones right now. I want a live feed on him like it's Big Brother. The man thought he could make a deal with one of his best players by eye contact and a handshake. Sure, there are some deals you seal with a handshake. There are plenty of times a handshake means it's good to go, but this is the NFL. There are agents involved, unless you're Jerry Jones, who just refuses to talk to Micah Parsons and his agent.

Now you have Micah Parsons ready to not play. You have Jerry Jones getting in front of a mic and camera at any given moment to just ramble and all is right in the world. There's nothing better than a good standoff between Jerry Jones and a disgruntled player. He steals any training camp highlight because it's a senile guy who thinks it's still 1994 and the Cowboys are winners. The Cowboys are not winners, they are a loser franchise who should be talked about like the Dolphins at best.

Sure do hate to see this though. I mostly hate to see this because I want to see the Cowboys collapse later in the year like normal. I'm an old man who enjoys tradition and at this point in my life watching the Cowboys do something stupid in December is right there with Christmas. Instead we get the gift of Jerry Jones rambling and ranting about his players and in a fight with Micah Parsons in August. Hilarious that he has the quote 'I stay urgent.' Buddy, if you stayed urgent you wouldn't have things like this year after year:

It's a good thing they had that handshake in March. Impossible to get a new contract in writing from March to August, don't know how you even have time to get that done. A lot of busy Saturday's, plenty of trips to Home Depot, whatever it might be. I hope this goes on all year.
