Charlie's Time: Charlie Woods Stole The Show At The Junior PGA Championship Today During His -6 Round, Goes Into The Clubhouse In 4th Place

This right here is the type of round that gets you pumped about the Charlie Woods era coming. He's 16-years old, playing in the Junior PGA Championship and goes out and fires this on the 2nd day. Obviously a long way to go, but sitting at -7 should keep himself above the cut line, which is normal top-60 and ties. Cut line right now is at -1. Forget the cut line, he put himself in a spot to actually contend. Oh and this tournament? Yeah, it's been won by guys like Denny McCarthy, Akshay Bhatia, Sam Burns and Trevor Immelman before. This guy finished second before

The people in West Lafayette can barely contain themselves. There's a buzz of dozens there on 17 with Charlie coming through. Reminds me of the days of Chris Kramer and Robbie Hummel roaming around Mackey. Now, it wasn't all perfect. He bogeyed 16 and 17 and then barely missed that birdie putt on 18. Those go a little differently and we're talking about a guy sitting in second (leader is at -13 right now) going into the clubhouse.

I want nothing more than Charlie Woods to win this. I want nothing more than Charlie Woods on the PGA Tour winning events at some point in his life. Golf is way more entertaining whenever a Woods is around an event. Not to mention the man has good taste.
