Shooter's Tour: Adam Sandler Finally Gifted Shooter McGavin His Size 44 Long Gold Jacket He Thought He Won In 1996 (Bonus: Happy Gilmore 2 Review)
What a move. I know Shooter McGavin's name isn't Shooter McGavin, but it is. Christopher McDonald might as well change his name at this point because all people know him as is Shooter McGavin. I love this move. It's great to throw on Twitter, get people talking about Happy Gilmore 2 and more importantly Shooter gets his gold jacket.
Now as for Happy Gilmore 2 - going to talk about it here without any spoilers. After the gifs there will be spoilers. Then again, I'm not sure who hasn't watched the movie yet. For anyone over the age of like 30 I just assume you watched it the first second you could yesterday. It's a sequel to one of the most iconic movies of our generation.
That said, it's perfect for what it was. It was funny enough, entertaining enough and didn't ruin the original Happy Gilmore. They played the hits with all the bits, had the cameos that worked. Shout out Bad Bunny who was actually good in it, same for John Daly. Xander had a pretty solid bit for his one piece and then Scottie stole the show. All you need to know is Scottie played his role perfectly, played a scene perfectly and stole the movie.

I can't believe they fucking killed Virginia in the first scene. I know it set the whole premise of the movie and she was back from time to time, but what the hell man? That came out of nowhere and I don't think anyone expected it. Shout out to the movie for keeping that a secret, assumed someone would have leaked that at some point. As for Shooter. Incredible redemption arc and played it off correctly. You couldn't run back Shooter vs Happy, so it made sense to have him on the professional tour. Ironic that Bryson and Brooks were also on the traditional golf team, but that's showbiz. As for Scottie. Having him play into the whole getting arrested scene, making comments about it and the postcredits of staying in jail was hilarious. Between this and the fart confession he might be the funniest guy on tour.
All in all it's a solid movie. It's not the original, but it's not complete ass. It's worth watching and can throw again in the background or if nothing else is on. Shooter finally got his gold jacket.
