My Notes On Golfing With Brandon Walker

I had a tee time with Brandon and a buddy of mine from college who was going to be in the area yesterday and his friend. We had a 3:48pm start time and admittedly got off to a tough start with the other two running a bit late. I will defend my time getting there. I arrived at the country club 25 minutes before tee time and at the driving range 18 minutes before we started. Just enough time to get about 20-25 shots up and head over in time.

Unfortunately, there was a big tournament with little kids who'd probably all destroy me in a match playing at 4pm.

My whole goal was to hit a couple of decent shots and not slow down the pace of play too much. I knew I'd be the worst golfer there. I'd have plenty of shots like this.

I shot a 113. Brandon shot an 88. The other two guys shot an 83 and a 90. 

I know I'm not good, but I also know my weaknesses.

Brandon called the experience at 15/10 on the fun scale and I will agree. The weather was perfect. It was an afternoon/evening session. Brandon, who I've known now for six years, was a delight to ride with. We'd help each other look for balls (not always mine!) and root for each other to hit good shots. The vibes were high.

It was cool to see Brandon having fun on the course. He said he has started playing again, but hasn't really played much besides this past year, since he was 17. That man can hit the cover off a ball.
