We've Got Our First Look at Sydney Sweeney in the Role She Added 30lbs to Her Boobs and Butt For. 'And the Oscar Goes to ..."

It was just about a month and a half ago that Sydney Sweeney admitted to the world something we'd all suspected, but can now confirm as scientifically proven. That she is a genetically perfect specimen of womanhood. So much so that she can't even let herself go intentionally without significantly upgrading herself:

Source - Sydney Sweeney opened up in a new W Magazine cover story about her dramatic transformation into boxer Christy Martin for an upcoming biopic, saying that her “body was completely different” after months of intense training.    

“I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training,” Sweeney told the publication. “I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour.”      

W also noted that the actor gained more than 30 pounds for the role. 

“My body was completely different,” Sweeney said. “I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy!”

Well now we've gotten our first real look at Sweeney as Martin in full costume and makeup. And she is unrecognizable:

Knowing nothing else about the production other than the subject matter and this photo - the script, the direction, the plot, the music, the cinematography … nothing else - we can all be assured this is an Oscar contender. For sure, Sweeney will be up for Best Actress. 

For any number of reasons. Hollywood loves a story about a strong female protagonist. They love biopics. Especially about some pioneering figure like Martin. They love sports movies, but boxing films in particular. 

But there is nothing the film industry respects more than someone willing to go through a complete body transformation in order to become the person they're protraying. That level of commitment to the role is Awards crack. Especially to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Like I said last month:

From Robert DeNiro transforming himself into older, fatter Jake LaMotta to Matthew McConaghey going skeletal in Dallas Buyer's Club, that is Oscar bait of the highest order. And nothing signals Hollywood you are to be taken seriously like an insanely attractive woman sacrificing her beauty for the sake of authenticity. Charlize Theron won a Best Actress for uglifying herself to play a real hooker-turned-serial killer in Monster. Margo Robbie got nominated for playing Tonya Harding.

So the hottest actress of our times (and I use that in both senses of the term) not only carbo-loading her way into playing a pioneering female boxer is simply too much for the Academy to ignore. Especially when, by doing so, Sweeney added inches in places she didn't need any help with. Thus offering a little a lot of something for the gentlemen and ladies in the ticket-buying public who are interested in such things. Which is 100% of Sydney Sweeney's massive fan base. 

Now that I think about it, she's probably going to get the Academy Award that Ricky Bobby said went to Highlander. For Best Movie Ever Made. 

All this and possibly Tom Brady too.

I'd say Sweeney is about to become Queen of the World. But that would be a step down for her.
