Come On Home: Odell Beckham Is Practically Begging The Giants To Notice Him, Bring Him Back On The Roster

I have no idea how to feel about this. On one hand, the Odell experience was all over the damn place as a Giant. He was an awesome wide receiver but then had his temper tantrums, we weren't winning and that boat picture. The goddamn boat picture that I want nothing to do with anymore. In fact I'd say anyone on the boat picture had to be cut immediately and need at least a 5 or 10 year period where they aren't allowed in sight of anything Giants related. 

On the other hand, I love this. It's not Odell just looking for a job, this is what my brain is telling me at least. He sees the Giants have hope again. He sees Malik Nabers, the defense, future Hall of Famer Wan'Dale Robinson and wants to be the mentor of it all. Again, this is me, a dumb fan, trying to trick my brain into it. Also have to assume it's impossible to find a quarterback room that's better than Russ, Jameis, Jaxson Dart and Tommy DeVito. That's how you build a Super Bowl championship team right there. 

I don't hate the move from Odell though. He's talking about how important the Giants are to him, lying about never wanting to leave and everything else. If you aren't marketing yourself you simply aren't an elite wide receiver. This is how wide receivers love to talk. Again, the last few years have brought Giants fans to rock bottom. There's been no hope, there's only been jokes at our expense. There's now a glimmer of hope and this only adds to it.
