'I Mean, The Lake Was Close Enough' - Nick Tarnasky Finally Gave His Side Of The Golf Course Fight, A Perfect Ending To The Whole Story
There we have it. The final piece to end the story and it comes from former NHL'er Nick Tarnasky, the man who threw another man in a pond, commentated his own punches and gave us a picture that will be used for a lifetime.
It's also the perfect ending. He deserved the last word as the hero we all wanted on a golf course. Tarnasky saying he was saying 'bang' because he wanted to have fun with it immediately moves him up to number 1 on my rankings of guys I would never want to piss off. Maybe number 2, still behind anyone with cauliflower ear and slightly ahead of linebackers who wear old school neck rolls. Someone saying they are having fun while screaming bang and punching you in the face is not to be trifled with.
Might be the most Canadian hockey guy way to end the story though. You can tell he almost feels bad for the fella who embarrassed himself. Gotta let a sleeping dog lie, stop making fun of him and everyone move on. Good, clean fight all the way to the end by Tarnasky. That said, we need a few more Tarnasky's out there, preferably on every course. Forget calling the semi-retired 65-year old marshal over to say something. Give me an enforcer to get the drunken assholes ruining rounds off the course. That's how you speed up play and get the game back where it belongs.
