The Tempe Police Department Is Awesome For Delivering Pizza To A Woman After Her GrubHub Driver Got Arrested

NY Post- A viral video shows a pair of police officers in Arizona helping finish a pizza delivery after the driver was arrested during a traffic stop.

“When your GrubHub driver gets arrested… Tempe Police Delivers,” the caption on the video read. It was posted on social media by the Tempe Police Department.

The department shared the moment, which unfolded on July 4, that showed officers delivering the pizza to a visibly surprised customer.

“So your GrubHub guy got arrested, so we still delivered your pizza,” the officer explained.

“When a delivery driver was arrested during a traffic stop, our officers made sure the pizza still got to the customer. The order was Hot-N-Ready, and the suspect was Caught-N-Steady,” the department shared in a post on X.

“We’re committed to serving our community 24/7—whether it’s safety or pizza delivery!”

Authorities told Fox News Digital that the delivery driver was arrested on charges of reckless driving and racing.

Awesome.

Just awesome.

Barstool has always been pro-cops and always will be. Best of the best. Hard job, long hours, great people. Stories like these prove that point even further. What could have been an absolute disaster- this lady not getting her pizza-  got rectified almost instantly.

Now before you say I am overreacting about a disaster of not getting food, put yourself in her shoes. She probably had a long day of work, maybe some kids running around everywhere, and just needed a Hot N Ready to get her mind off life. We know that feeling, that first bite of pizza that cures all ill.

Whatever her reason was, we all know when you order pizza there is no bigger anticipation than that time from when you place it to when you get it. The entire time you are asking "when's my pizza getting here?" And when things take forever with delivery apps you get so much madder. Maybe the drive goes the wrong way, who knows. Just get me my pizza man! Now think about if the reason your pizza didn't come is because of all things the driver got ARRESTED. No one would believe it and YOU ARE STARVING. Gotta feel for the lady in that situation.

The cops not only did the right thing arresting the driver for being unsafe, but helping an innocent person avoid a disaster is also some great work and should be applauded. Well done gents!
