We Need This: Sydney Sweeney Is Actually Rumored To Be The Next Bond Girl

It's the slowest sports week of the year and while for many that may lead to taking your significant out on some nice dates, addressing some annoying errands around the house, or getting some work done in the office to set up the rest of your summer, I think there's a more pressing matter at hand to tackle —Sydney Sweeney's next big movie role.

Last week on the heels of Superman's theatrical release, some people threw out the possibility of Sweeney taking on the role of Power Girl. Now hand up, I'm not a DCU expert and wasn't aware of Power Girl's existence. Let's analyze.

After further review I think there's a fit here.

But it's entirely possible Sydney Sweeney has no interest in diving back into the comic book scene after how poorly Madame Web turned out (NOT HER FAULT). Alright, what else is there? Let's think big.

How about the next Bond Girl? Crazy? Yes. Possible? Very. There might be something there, folks. Newly tapped director Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival, Dune, Prisoners) is friends with Sweeney and apparently believes she's perfect for the gig.

“Denis believes she is hugely talented, as well as having an alluring appeal to younger generations, vital in modernising the franchise. They’ve hung out together a lot and he has admired her stratospheric rise. Plus Sydney has the quality of being athletic and able to perform physical scenes, as well as being feminine and following in the legacy of Bond girls.”

What a move this would be. Now a concern you may have is her athleticism. Does she have this in her bag?

Well how quick you are to forget Sydney Sweeney is set to portray Christy Martin in an upcoming boxing movie. She's willing to do anything it takes to transform for a role. This is a versatile woman.

She can swim too!
