Myles Turner Had His First Press Conference As A Milwaukee Buck And The Pettiness Towards The Indiana Pacers Was Unreal

Saying, I hate Myles Turner is obviously a bit much, but 100% fuck this guy. The truth is finally starting to come out about Turner's free agency, and there is no love lost between both sides. After breaking his silence about leaving Indiana for Milwaukee with a social media post that felt like he was simply checking a box, during his Bucks' introductory press conference, the plot thickened.

At the end of the 18 minute long press conference, Turner said their were some issues during negotiations, but out of respect for both the Pacers and the Bucks he didn't want to talk on that. To feel like the Pacers didn't give you the right offer is completely valid, but to then say the only factor that went into your decision was being competitive and winning a ring is crazy. Especially when you follow it up by naming competitive vets who see the vision with - Porter Jr, Taurean Prince, Gary Trent Jr, and Bobby Portis as a roster that's more competitive than the Pacers. Sure, the Bucks most likely will have Giannis, but the Pacers had no problem knocking this roster out of the playoffs in 5 games. Not to mention handcuffing the Bucks for $50 million the next 4 years doesn't exactly help make this team a title contender. Myles is better than Brooke Lopez, but is an upgraded Brooke Lopez what makes this team a winner? If only Myles had been a competitive veteran during the NBA finals, Indiana would have a ring.

It was assumed Myles' problem was with the Pacers front office not giving him enough money, and having him on the trading block for the last 6 seasons, but it seems like there might have been some trouble in the locker room as well. Internet sleuths noticed on social media no one on the team was liking anything the Pacers posted about Turner, Mathurin posted on IG him dunking on Myles, then in the press conference Turner said he texted the team group chat and only some of them responded.

We even got some good ol' fashion "subtweets" from the Indiana guys after Myles presser. DON'T EVEN BOTHER! Yeah, I don't think anyone in the Indiana locker room appreciated what Myles had to say after joining the Bucks.

Just when you thought the Pacers / Bucks rivalry couldn't get any better, it goes and gets a billion times better. These guys tried to beat the shit out of each other over a basketball, now we've got legit bad blood with Myles switching sides and kind of throwing the Pacers roster under the bus. The great debate going on in Indy was do the fans boo Myles Turner when he makes his return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It's absolutely fine to go get paid, but now after being petty on the way out of Indiana, the green light to boo has been turned on. See you next season Myles, better bring that competitive energy.
