'If It's Not 4th And Fucking 20, We're Fucking Going' - Season 2 Of 'Quarterback' Gave Us The Perfect Look At Dan Campbell Putting His Nuts On The Table

I put that tweet/blog there for a reason. It's the whole premise of this blog thanks to this clip from season 2 of Quarterback.

That right there is why the Lions are good. Well, at least a major part of it. They found the perfect GM/coach combo and neither are afraid to slap their gigantic nuts on the table if they have to. Dan Campbell isn't going to punt. This was going into a game against the Packers and he basically said so. 4th and 12? We're going for it. 4th and 19? A debate, because he specifically says as long as it's not 4th and fucking 20. Can't tell me it didn't work. They won and you had this quote after:

How can you not want to play for this guy? Sitting in a meeting and your coach telling you that the offense is going to go win this game, have it come true and he lives up to his end of the bargain here? Yeah, that's why the Lions are one of the most liked teams in the league (outside of NFC North teams, obviously). No one hates the Lions, they were the lovable losers with stars on the roster for years and now they have legit Super Bowl chances.

I said it during season 1 of this show and I'll say it again. It drops at the perfect time. I'm itching for football season. Don't get me wrong, we're not trying to rush through summer here, but it's getting to that point where you're fighting to find something to watch on TV. I want to be mad on Sunday's again for a variety of reasons. Yeah, Campbell isn't always going to have it work out and people love to scream they were right when a team doesn't convert a 4th down, but he's going to do it all the time. He's going to make you stop him.
