Bryan Reynolds Used His No-Trade Clause To Make Sure He Doesn't Have To Live in New York, California or Canada

I don't like many Vanderbilt athletes, but Bryan Reynolds has earned a fan in Big T after this one. With the trade deadline approaching and the Pittsburgh Pirates looking to offload some talent to contenders, Reynolds used his no-trade clause to make sure he won't be sent to any leftist hellscapes where he'll lose 13 percent of the $95 million remaining on his contract to state income taxes or whatever unfathomable amount you'd pay in Canada.

This is a guy who has his priorities straight. He's going to retire having been a very productive Major League Baseball player for more than a decade and whether or not he ever wins a World Series, you know what's better than a ring you'll wear a couple times a year? $10 million you wouldn't have if you played for the Padres.

As a matter of fact, making $100 million to play professional baseball with no pressure to win or perform honestly sounds like the dream. Go out there, give it your all and collect an absurd check every two weeks for your trouble. It doesn't get any better than that.

Good for Bryan. I love this guy.
