There Were An Insane Amount Of All-Star Snubs Across Baseball This Year, But Who Were The Biggest Ones?

MLB unveiled the 2025 All-Star teams on Sunday and as always, there were some major snubs. Some very deserving guys will represent their respected leagues, but the guys who were left off were just as good if not better. It's always tough because you can't fit everyone, you can't have 53 guys on each squad, it sucks but someone will always be left off. Klemmer talked about how it was the right move for Kyle Stowers to make the NL team over Juan Soto here, and he's right. Soto wasn't the only guy that fans have a gripe about, there are quite a few of them. Some of the guys will eventually get named due to injuries and whatnot, but as for now, they're snubs. Here are my biggest snubs from around baseball...

George Springer - 16 HR, 53 RBI, .279 AVG, .372 OBP, .509 SLG

After a few disappointing seasons, it seems like George Springer is back to his old Astros self. 19 homers last season, he's already hit 16 and helped turn the Jays season around. They're the hottest team in baseball and they are riding on Springer's back. He's been unreal for them, 6 homers and 21 RBI in his last 15 games, good for a .436 average and a .492 OBP. Insane numbers by the 35 year-old. THIS is the Springer Toronto thought they were getting, it's a shame he was left off because he's been really good this season. Him having a bounce back year at this age would have been neat to see get named to the team.

Seiya Suzuki - 25 HR, 77 RBI (Leads MLB), 22 2B, .263 AVG, .319 OBP, .561 SLG

I'm sorry, back in my day if you lead the bigs in runs batted in, you'd get named an All-Star. Guess we're in a new age. Seiya Suzuki has been a major reason the Cubs are cruising along right now, a hell of a trio with PCA and Kyle Tucker. Those guys fucking rake. Suzuki's 25 homers is 4th in the NL and his 77 RBI are the most in baseball. I don't know what else he could have done to get named an All-Star and it's a joke he's not there. Now he may get named as a replacement, but come on, he should be there.

Junior Caminero - 21 HR, 57 RBI, .255 AVG, .297 OBP, .502 SLG

Now there's a good chance Junior gets named an injury replacement for Alex Bregman, but how on earth was he left off the roster? A 21 year-old third baseman with 40 extra base hits before the All-Star break, sounds pretty good to me. He plays in Tampa so he'll never get the love he should, but he's a damn good player who's having a breakout season for a good team. I also want to see him in the HR Derby, but it's shame he's not an All-Star. If he was a Yankee or Dodger you know for sure he'd be in Atlanta for the game.

Michael Busch - 18 HR, 56 RBI, .297 AVG, .384 OBP, .566 SLG

Your newest NL Player of the Week, Michael Busch is a snub and a half. He may have gotten too hot too late, a 3 homer game vs the hated Cardinals on the 4th of July is a hell of a way to make a last minute run for the AS team. But look at the overall numbers, .384 OBP? Out of a first baseman? Come on now. He's had a really good season, it's a damn shame he's not backing up Freddie Freeman in the game. If only Craig Counsell would have played him early on against lefties.

Jo Adell - 19 HR, 52 RBI, .248 AVG, .323 OBP, .500 SLG

A lot of baseball fans probably didn't think we'd see this day come for Jo Adell, but we made it. Former top prospect is an insane athlete and was always that "watch what this guy does this season" kinda guy and he just never put it together. Curse of the Angels, injuries, inconsistent play on the field, he just couldn't put it together. Now he has and he's showing us that raw talent that we heard about for so long. Last month plus he's been on a tear, and the power has really shown up. Happy to see he's turned the corner, maybe next year we'll see him in an All-Star uniform.

Randy Arozarena - 14 HR, 42 RBI, 15 SB, .249 AVG, .355 OBP, .446 SLG

Quite frankly, the wrong Seattle outfielder made it. No clue how Julio Rodriguez made it, let alone over his teammate Randy. Few bad seasons in a row for Randy may have had some folks forgetting about him, but he's making waves on the west coast. One of the most underrated players in the bigs this season, he deserved a trip to Atlanta. He's always coming up clutch for Seattle and has formed quite a power combo with Cal Raleigh out there. If Julio had any pride he'd step down and let Randy go in his place, it's only right.

Ranger Suárez - 7-2, 1.99 ERA, 73 Ks, 77 IP, 1.03 WHIP

Look at those numbers and tell me what else a pitcher has to do to make the All-Star team? Suárez has been on cruise control since he got off the IL in May, he had one minor speed bump in his first start back but ever since that he's been untouchable. Can pencil him in for 7 IP nearly every start and he just doesn't give up runs. Not sure what else he would have had to do to make it, but he was robbed in plain daylight.

Trea Turner - 11 HR, 39 RBI, 22 SB, .298 AVG, .349 OBP, 61 R, 109 H

Much like his teammate Ranger up there, look at those numbers and tell me he doesn't deserve to be in Atlanta for the game. Look at those. Near the top of every statistical category among shortstops in the NL, how does he get left off? I know people hate Philly, but you cant deny how good he's been. He's the spark plug that makes the Phillies go, shame he's getting overlooked again. All he does is hit and steal bags, and slide cool. He does that too. I love Elly but he shouldn't be there over Trea, just no way. Total package who was left out of the ASG, it's a shame.

I could go on and on about other guys left off, Andrew Abbott, Framber Valdez, Ceddanne Rafaela, Andy Pages, Zach McKinstry, Joe Ryan, Bryan Abreu, Carlos Navarez. Just a ton of deserving guys who won't be in Atlanta. Some will get added but most will get some much deserved time off. Just not enough room for all these talented guys. It's a great problem to have for baseball, too much talent around the leagues.
