Case Closed? The DOJ Has Determined Jeffrey Epstein Did Kill Himself and Never Even Had a Client List.

Above is how it started.

This is how it was going:

… possession of the FBI.

Kash is going to get me a detailed report as to why all these documents and evidence had been withheld."

"We're gonna go through it as fast as we can…"

And here's how it ended up. Apparently:

Source -  President Trump's Justice Department and FBI have concluded they have no evidence that convicted sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed powerful figures, kept a "client list" or was murdered, according to a memo detailing the findings obtained by Axios.

  • The administration is releasing a video — in both raw and "enhanced" versions — that it says indicates no one entered the area of the Manhattan prison where Epstein was held the night he died in 2019.
  • The video supports a medical examiner's finding that Epstein committed suicide, the two-page memo claims.

Why it matters: The findings represent the first time Trump's administration has officially contradicted conspiracy theories about Epstein's activities and his death — theories that had been pushed by the FBI's top two officials before Trump appointed them to the bureau.

  • As social media influencers and activists, Kash Patel (now the FBI's director) and Dan Bongino (now deputy director) were among those in MAGA world who questioned the official version of how Epstein died.
  • Patel and Bongino have since said Epstein committed suicide. …

The memo says no one else involved in the Epstein case will be charged. (Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking and related offenses.)

Well. OK then. That settles that. It's all done and dusted. Nothing to see here after all. To think, most of us assumed that there was something extremely sketchy about Jeffrey Epstein and his crimes. A guy who became supremely rich and influential in a way that was never really clear. Who went from obscure "financier" to rubbing elbows with dozens, scores, maybe hundreds of the most powerful people in the world. Getting meetings with billionaires. Discussing "philanthropy" with the likes of Prince Andrew, Bill Gates and celebrated heads of state. Even after he admitted to sex crimes involving underage victims. And then, after he was convicted and sentenced to life behind bars, was put under 24-hour Suicide Watch in a Super Max prison, and was arguably the No. 1 candidate for a Code Red in the United States, died under, oh, let's call them "mysterious circumstances," took all his secrets conveniently to the grave.

Now, a cynical person might assume there's something suspicious about all of it. That powerful people didn't want the truth to get out. The sort of people with the sort of power to get at the most protected inmate in the federal prison system.

Or that perhaps Epstein was working on behalf of some government. Foreign or domestic. Compromising the rich and powerful in order to gain control of them, their wealth, the companies and countries they control, and to get their cooperation.

In fact, I'm sure there will be some mistrustful, negativistic types who may even take issue with the timing of this announcement. The fact it was dropped on a Sunday night at the tail end of the biggest holiday weekend of the summer. When the maximum amount of the public is otherwise engaged; distracted with enjoying themselves to consume much in the way of news. Hell, it's hard to imagine anyone in Washington was working this weekend. But here we are. Diligent, dedicated federal employees at the Justice Department were burning the midnight oil to get us this news - non-news, I suppose - in a timely manner.

And here we have it. Jeffrey Epstein died in prison during the first baby steps of what was supposed to be a life sentence. His accomplice Maxwell is doing 20 years. They're guilty of selling minors to pedophiles. But who they sold these girls to is completely unknown. And never will be known. Apparently they had no clients to list.

At least that's the story. And we're sticking to it.

Boy, do those of us who thought there was more going on here feel silly. Do they ever have egg on their faces. They were just dealing in conspiracies. And as we should all know by now, no conspiracy theory ever turns out to be valid. So let's move along, citizens.

Instead, let's all be relieved that, conveniently enough, everyone in the world except Epstein and Maxwell is innocent. We can all relax. This case is finally closed.
