The Astros Beat The Hell Out Of The Dodgers And Orel Hershiser Seems To Think That Houston Knew What Pitches Were Coming....

Some folks really can't let things go, eh? We saw a real ass whooping in Los Angeles last night as the Astros absolutely had manhandled the Dodgers. 18-1, worst home loss is Dodgers history. Houston was all over Ben Casparius early, 6 ER in 3 innings and it kept getting worse from there. I mean they were smoking balls last night, naturally that got the attention of some folks. Houston squaring up pitcher after pitch, perfect-perfects out the ass? Something must be going on, I think we've seen this movie before and so has Dodgers broadcaster, Orel Hershiser.

Hershiser doesn't hide his thoughts on one theory behind why the Astros were on every single pitch, maybe they know what's coming?

"I don't want to open an old wound but, in someways they're swinging at these breaking balls like they know what is coming."

Is he saying what I think he's saying? It sounds like he's simply suggesting that maybe the Astros knew what pitch is coming because maybeeeeee Houston was using cameras inside the ballparks to cheat again, No proof or anything, he's just suggesting! Now he does mention something about tipping pitches towards the end of the clip, and maybe that is what he's getting at....but his comments come off very salty. I think he's still a bit sour over the Astros and their cheating scandal. He doesn't say maybe the Dodgers guys just don't have it. Doesn't say it's a rough night or anything. He just seems to take the low hanging fruit while trying to connect some dots.

It's kinda crazy for Orel to spit this take on air, right? Like just because the Dodgers are getting their ass whooped you can't just automatically assume the other team is cheating. I get they have the history, but it's not like he's sitting on definitive proof or anything. Did a janitor or bat boy in Dodger Stadium find camera equipment with Houston logos on it planted in center? I don't think so, so I think he's just kinda letting a hot take get off. Would he say that if it was against the Reds? Probably not, but this is just how it is when it comes to Houston. Every baseball fan in America makes a comment about trash cans or buzzers or how bad the Astros cheated when their team plays them, it's just wild that he straight up said it on air. I usually like Orel too, but this was a bit too salty and cranky for me.
