Hell Yes! It's Finally Happening: EA Sports Announced That A College Basketball Video Game Is Returning To Our Lives

Think about how long it's been. The last college basketball game made had Blake Griffin on the cover. Blake Griffin has already retired from the NBA and has won Blake of the Year. We've been begging for a college basketball video game, especially after the college football mania. I know, I know, different sports, but this is the sport I love. This is the sport that will have me wanting to figure out how to be good at video games again.

Why the hell do we have to wait until 2028 though? That's still far too long. You're telling me someone can't come out with a college basketball video game in 2026 or even 2027? I don't want to wait until I'm 41 to get excited about a video game. Don't get me wrong, I will, I just want to be in my 30s still. I'll still argue that Fox Sports College Hoops '99 is a top-5 game of all-time. Run that back at least until 2028.

I know people will bitch about EA vs 2k, let me be clear. I don't care who makes the game, just give us a game. I got to see everyone get all excited about college football and play franchises and career mode and everything else while I just wanted my own One Shining Moment. I can't believe they announced it just on Twitter like that. Again, feels rude to make us wait until 2028, so let's go ahead and speed up that process. I need to win roughly 42 more titles with Kentucky before the actual season starts.
