Matt Freese Showed Some Gigantic Balls, Slapped Them On The Table In PKs And Saved US Soccer From Embarrassment

Do I care that it took PKs and even extra PKs to beat Costa Rica in the Gold Cup? Well, sure, we looked like shit, but when Canada and Panama lose in this round I do not. Why? Because a win is a win goddamnit and that's what we needed. Shout out Matt Freese. Dude put his gigantic nuts and slapped them on the table in PKs

We're moving on. This is what this team needs. I said it before, we're so desperate to see anything positive, even with this C team, that I will celebrate it. It's pretty simple for me. You slap on the red, white and blue and I become invested in this as a team. I live and die with this team more than I probably should. I don't care that it's the Gold Cup. There's some real stuff to take away from this like Malik Tillman being on the World Cup roster, same with Diego Luna. But also that Matt Freese is in the keeper conversation heading into the World Cup, because that's wide open. 

My point being that a win is a win. I don't care who it's against, how it happens, just win and advance. Get some momentum leading into the last of this World Cup buildup and give me some fake hope. That's all I want from this team. I'd love to see us stop playing like ass when it matters, but some guys showed up when it mattered today.
