Steve Spurrier Will Never Waste A Chance To Take Shots - This Time It's At Texas, Arch Manning And Anyone Picking Them To Win The SEC
There's no one and I mean no on like Steve Spurrier. He might be the number 1 hater this side of Silky Johnson. The dude has a long history of incredible quotes:
And on and on we go. The guy never misses a chance to insult someone. I'm honestly impressed with how he still does it. He finds new ways to throw a jab, he's adapting to the game. This time it's Texas, Arch Manning and everyone anointing them champs. The real beauty is throwing in that Quinn Ewers was just a 7th rounder. That's how you finish insulting an entire fanbase and program. Hey, that guy that started last year? Yeah 7th rounder and we're saying Arch is better?
Does it make sense? Not completely, of course guys are viewed differently. But until Texas wins something, Spurrier is going to be there cracking jokes. It's arguably what he's best at and the dude could coach his ass off. We need a Spurrier broadcast. I don't want it overdone, but he needs to be on a show let's say 2-3 times a season where he can just fire off things like this. I'd watch that compared to some of the announcers we have out there. Give me Spurrier unfiltered and see what he comes up with a FSU/Miami game.
I think Texas is going to be good this year. I think they are a national title contender, for sure not a favorite. I also think some of the hype on Arch is in name and what we saw him do in short stints. He's likely going to be a good player, but it's not like they are some sort of heavy favorite coming into the year. Just let Spurrier call a Texas game now.
