Ace Bailey's Camp Reportedly Doesn't Care About $10-15 Million, Will Do Anything To Make Sure He's Not Drafted By The Hornets Or Jazz

I talked about the weirdness of Ace Bailey a week ago. Guy is refusing to work out, seemingly trying to pick where he plays. If not him, his camp. Things are only getting weirder on Draft Day (so stupid that it's today) as we have this:

Not shocking. Those teams suck, he doesn't want to play there. Not the first player in a sport to try and dictate Draft position. But then there's the money factor:

[Source] - Bailey, who ranks No. 3 on our big board, is the only U.S. prospect who has yet to visit an NBA team facility, continuing to decline workout invites from Philadelphia, Charlotte and Utah, and seemingly preferring the group of teams ranked outside the top five, specifically Washington, New Orleans and Brooklyn at Nos. 6-8. This type of slide could cost him $10 million to $15 million if it happens.

I don't care how much he got in NIL or is making, how the hell do you say no to $10-15 million? Maybe because I'm just a regular ass suburban dad, but all I can think about is what I'd do for $10 million. I really should have been taller, elite at scoring and have all the potential to be a top-5 player in the NBA Draft and I wouldn't be passing this up. Some think there's a guarantee or plan in place of why this is all happening, hard to disagree at this point.

All I know is in a Draft that has lacked juice, storylines or anything like that, Ace Bailey's camp is doing its job. I don't even care. You should try to get in the best position as possible to give yourself the best career. You'd be insane to just accept going to a franchise that is basically dead. The Hornets are one of the most irrelevant franchises in all of sports, which is a shame because of Starter Jackets from the 90s and what they used to be.

I said it before, but the whole conversation around Ace Bailey has been a circus lately. I chalk that up to everyone knowing the first two overall picks and people having no clue after that. Ace Bailey is good at basketball. He's somehow become underrated because everyone thinks he's overrated. Welcome to Draft day.
