Barstool After Dark Tonight: Tate, Katic, and Katic's Dad Will Try To Clear The Table In 9 Ball Without Missing A Shot
So as the video says, this challenge (and especially the guests) came about in a rather interesting way. Lucas and I were sitting back by the kitchen due to the packed house from The Dozen last week, and we were brainstorming ideas for upcoming streams. We have some really good ones to look forward to in July and August, but we needed one for this week. We'd tossed around the idea before of trying to run the table in 9-Ball without missing, but it seemed really hard....especially since I have no billiards experience. We were asking people walking by if they thought it was possible, and the general consensus was not a fucking chance.
Enter: Mike Katic.
Katic says he could do it in "5 minutes". Direct quote. He said that he and his dad are really good at pool, so we said call up your old man and ask him. His dad said that HE could definitely do not, but not his measly son. So I said, Mr Katic Sr, would you wanna come on out and join the team. He accepted, and the challenge was made: me, Katic, and his Dad have to clear the table in 9-Ball, alternating shots and not allowed to miss any.
I personally think I would have a 0% chance to finish this on my own. And I think me and Katic would have about a 1% chance of finishing this together. But add in Katic's dad? An apparent member of a travel pool team (didn't know there was a thing)….and I think we got a chance? He can set us up for success, no? Half the people on the internet say we're fucked. The other half say this is too easy and we'll finish in 30 minutes.
I guess we'll have to find out tonight at 8 Eastern / 7 Central on Barstool After Dark.
