Athlete: Marcel Siem Broke Down The Story Of Him Shooting A 63 At Pebble Beach While He Was Hammered, Puking Twice During The Round

I can't believe people have the audacity to say golfers aren't real athletes. They want to point at body shape of guys or the fact it's just golf. Then you have a guy like Marcel Siem breaking down the story of shooting a 63 at Pebble Beach while hammered, hanging out with Kelly Slater and puking multiple times. That's the definition of an athlete right there. Anyone can get drunk, puke and shoot a 98 but not everyone can do it during the 2015 Pro-Am and shoot a 63. Siem screams elite athlete

I went back and looked it up, he made $95k for a tied-18th finish that week. Not bad missing the course record by 1, impressing Kelly Slater and making that sort of money. I think we need this in the offseason. Give me the pros playing a round like we all do. Not saying they have to be puking off of 16, but let them get a little buzzed and see how they play. Make it more relatable for the people who play Saturday mornings and try to just get away from everything for 5 hours. I wouldn't even say to have them play on a regular tour stop, have them play at a decent public course in middle America.

At the minimum give me more stories like this in golf. I want to hear golfers talk openly, since we always get one-word answers or guys not showing up for media. I'd much rather hear something like this instead of merger talk or roll back or anything else like that. Shout out Marcel Siem though, athlete at its finest.
