A True Diehard: Livvy Dunne Is In Omaha Supporting LSU Baseball And Dominating Per Usual
For everybody who thought Livvy Dunne was just a supportive girlfriend the past few years, schlepping it up to Nebraska in June to support her man Paul Skenes, and her fellow LSU Athletics brethren- allow me to kindly inform you that you now stand corrected.
It appears Livvy is a true team player. Her man is now in the show, pitching for the Pirates (technically a major league ball club), but that doesn't mean she's turned her back on Tiger baseball, or become too occupied to show up.
Sure, she might be bi-coastal now, hitting her guy's games in Philly, and then getting back to The Cornhusker State for LSU's march to another College World Series-
But she's also found a way of supporting both simultaneously
AND, mixing in the occasional great tasting, less filling, beer of champions -
And she might just be their good luck charm. Because LSU won an absurd one yesterday over Arkansas that they honestly had no business winning. Especially in walk-off fashion.
With one out in the 9th, and runners on first and second, LSU shortstop Steven Milam hit what should have been a game ending ground ball to Arkansas SS Wehiwa Aloy.
For some reason, Aloy went to third with the ball, instead of turning two and sending the Razorbacks to the finals.
At the plate next was LSU catcher Luis Hernandez, who launched a laser to left field on the second pitch he saw.
Arkansas left fielder Charles Davalan had a chance to seal the game but misjudged the ball, allowing it to ricochet off his back and roll into the corner. Two runs came in, tying the game.
LSU first baseman Jared Jones sealed the deal, hitting a line drive that ricocheted off Arkansas second baseman Cam Kozeal's glove and rolled into the outfield. Ball game.

Now, LSU is on to the finals to face Coastal Carolina in a three-game series to decide a national champion. Game 1 is set for Saturday.
Should be a doozy.
Here's more of the queen -
