Assault: Adam Schefter Made His Debut As A Golf Reporter Today, Promptly Compares Tommy Fleetwood And Dak Prescott For Never Winning

I don't think it's necessarily shocking that Adam Schefter is doing some golf stuff today at the Travelers. It's in Connecticut, he's getting involved in more sports and obviously wanted to do it. However, he immediately insulted Tommy Fleetwood with this: 

Schefter's comparison is that Tommy Fleetwood hasn't won in America on Tour. Fine, but Tommy Fleetwood has won! I'm not just defending this as a Tommy fan and someone who wants the Cowboys to continue to be a laughingstock for eternity. Dak has never won. He has 2 playoff wins in his career. Tommy has 10 professional wins, top-5 in all majors and has multiple team wins at the Ryder Cup in 2018 and 2023. So, yeah, I'd be insulted if I was Tommy Fleetwood. He's not talking about as a guy you'd want to trade to the US for the Ryder Cup like Dak is by Cowboys fans. 

I need Schefter to get more obscure with his comparisons. He did another one a few minutes back and had Adam Scott/Russ Wilson, Luke Clanton/Cam Ward and Matthew Stafford/Jordan Spieth. Start giving me backup quarterbacks, Schefty! There's a million golfers on Tour, let me know who is compared to a Jim Sorgi or Kenny Pickett. Give me a Brandt Snedeker and Alex Smith type comparison. 

Long story short, Tommy Fleetwood needs a win. He needs a win bad so he can shake this whole Dak Prescott comparison. I need to stop hearing about how Tommy Fleetwood doesn't have a win when he keeps losing in heartbreaking fashion. It's gotta happen at some point, right? I refuse to believe he's going to keep going years without a win on the PGA Tour.
