Bad News For Pacers Fans: Tyrese Haliburton Is Undergoing An MRI To See If He Can Play In Game 6 Of The NBA Finals
We all saw Haliburton walking back from the locker room last night in the first half with an entire mattress wrapped around his leg, we knew he was dealing with something since game 2, now it seems like the injury is more serious than expected. From what was said in the post game press conference last night, it seemed like nothing was going to deter Hali from playing in Game 6.
Would the team hold Haliburton out of Game 6 to prevent further injury, or do you let your star player risk it for the NBA finals? I questioned if playing Haliburton playing last night was the right move with TJ McConnell going off, but TJ magic only works in short bursts, and Hali still ran the offense well despite being limited on offense. Hali was still passing the ball incredibly well, so I'd love to see him out there getting minutes even in a limited capacity. We all saw how bad this team was without Haliburton in the regular season. Indiana looked like a high school JV team. But, Depending on how severe the strain is, I don't want Hali to risk further injury by tearing an achilles and being out ALL of next season. A Pacers star going down with a season ending injury is all too familiar with the Pacers fan base, and this injury would be the one to put everyone on a 24/7 suicide watch.
