'I Am The Head Coach. I Am Not A Mannequin.' - Mauricio Pochettino Fires Back Again At Christian Pulisic, Isn't Going To Let Players Dictate When They Want To Play
Quick break from golf and napping like any good dad to talk soccer. That's right, I said soccer. I love the US team more than I want to, I can't help it. I got hooked in 94 when we hosted the World Cup and then got addicted in 2002 when we were waking up early to watch us beat Mexico and make a run to the quarterfinals and ever since then it's country over club by a mile. That said, everything is a soap opera these days. I've blogged it, you've read it, the Christian Pulisic saga is getting out of control
That should sum it up. And look, I get the whole Gold Cup being a secondary tournament thing, especially with FIFA doing the Club World Cup money grab and guys not getting released for their country. But, this team desperately needs a win. We've lost 4 in a row, we look like shit, we're dealing with guys getting called out and this whole Pulisic sitting out for rest drama.

So, good for Pochettino. Team has sucked since he took over but I at least prefer him doing this. This current generation needs accountability. They need someone to say you're not above the team type shit. I don't care if it's Pulisic, Adams, Turner, you name it. If you're able to play, you should be playing. That's where we're at right now because of how desperate we are for any sort of success. All the good we did in winning Nations League, getting out of the World Cup group, that's all gone away.
Tonight we play Trinidad and Tobago. Fuck Trinidad and Tobago for the 2018 World Cup disaster. Get a win and at least people should stop complaining for the time being. A loss and everything is going to get amplified. Good times.
