'Am I Trippin Or Are You Trippin?' - Darius Slayton Confirms That Having Jameis On Your Team Brings Only Good Vibes, Exactly What The Giants Need

This is exactly what I needed to hear during the offseason. I don't expect Jameis to do much for the Giants this year. You have Russell Wilson as QB1, you drafted Jaxson Dart. Winston is there to be a vet, maybe step in if Dart isn't ready yet and simply provide good vibes. I mean, shit, he's willing to disobey coaches in order to help teammates out

That's the sort of locker room guy the Giants need. Sure, good players help. I'd like more good player in fact. But, for a team that now has the slightest bit of hope of a future, you need someone to keep it loose. Can't have people dodging questions, pissing off the entire fanbase. No, I want my backup quarterback to talk to wide receiver about slants and ending up on Kentucky Fried Chicken. No one knows how you get there and that's the beauty of Jameis. You gotta keep everyone on their toes and reel them back in. QB3 right there.

It's not a secret how much the Giants have sucked the last decade, but it's more than that. They've made fans apathetic. Very few guys have been fun to cheer for or any sort of good to come out of games. That changes now. We need the slightest bit of good vibes and we're getting that with Jameis and Cam Skattebo. Those are the two who can change a locker room. I'm not saying Super Bowl or even playoffs, just being a normal football team again. That's the step we're taking this year.
