One Last Ride: Dustin Johnson Claims He Will 'Grind' On The Golf Course For Another 6 Years And Then He's Retiring To Go Fishing

The US Open back at Oakmont is bringing back Dustin Johnson memories in 2016

Now we got him talking about his retirement tour. Some are thinking it's a contract negotiation play. He wants one more big deal from LIV and this is the perfect number to throw out there. Who says they are retiring in six years? It's not a normal number. No one says they will do anything in six years from now or in 2031. That's just something that is a made up number which is why the contract theory is gaining traction.

It's also perfect Dustin Johnson. The guy was the best golfer on planet Earth once upon a time. He's not that anymore, not that it matters. He has his majors, he has his wins, he has his money and he has his photoshoots

I miss having him on Tour. I loved Dustin Johnson when he was out there every week and in contention. There's something perfect about him saying he's going fishing in six years too. He could have just said retiring or hanging out at home with Paulina and the kids, nope, the man wants to be out on the water. But this is the retirement tour. We have six years to count down for Dustin Johnson and you know what? I want to see him compete this week at the US Open. It's been far too long since he's been in contention or a name to watch at a major, might as well do it again at Oakmont.

One last ride, for six more years.
