The Grounds Crew At Oakmont Using Push Mowers To Maintain The Course Is As Gritty As It Gets

When this clip first came out earlier this week, I thought it must have been some sort of joke. It must have been some sort of gag where Oakmont just put a feeler out to any dads in the Pittsburgh area who wanted to come out and push a mower around a little confined area for a few minutes. Almost like a petting zoo of sorts for dads who love to cut grass, and love championship golf. Or like when you rent a jet ski and can only take it out so far.

Turns out it wasn't a joke. Turns out this wasn't a bit. It turns out that one of the most pristine and storied golf courses in America just heads over to their local ACE Hardware to pick up a bunch of push mowers to maintain the course.

There's never been a grittier sight than just an army full of dudes all cranking up the mower and going to work. No need for a zero turn. No need for any big, fancy equipment. Just dudes doing what they were put on this Earth to do. And apparently there's an actual purpose behind having an army full of fellas on the push mower, instead of just going with the standard equipment.

I just know there can't be a better, crispier tasting beer than the one you crack after mowing a championship golf course. On Fathers Day weekend, no less? These lads are in heaven.
