Reggie Miller Celebrating Haliburton's Game Winner With His Family Shows He's Just Like Every Single Pacers Fan
This wholesome shit brings a tear to my eye. I know Knicks fans were upset they had to watch Reggie Miller dance on New York's grave from the announcer booth during the ECF, but no one can be mad about Reggie and his family celebrating Hali's game winner from the comfort of their living room.
This is every Indiana family watching the game - if every family in Indiana lived in a million dollar mansion with state of the art security systems, this is reaction is exactly what the scene in everyone's living room would look like. Back in 1999 this was me and my family watching Reggie take Jordan to Game 7 of the ECF. I'd do anything to be able to relive those memories, and thanks to Tyrese - a lot of Hoosiers get to do just that. Obviously Reggie is a fan of Indiana after staying loyal to the franchise and playing his whole career in the Hoosier state, but to see Reggie's kids have the same passion for this team that their dad does is awesome.
It's been cool to see Haliburton turn into Reggie Miller reincarnated as both the franchise's clutch hero and the league's villain. Hopefully the only difference in the comparison is Haliburton can bring home a championship to the state of Indiana - I think Reggie would agree and celebrate that win.
