Craig Sager's Wife Posted A Tribute To Him On Instagram Following The NBA On TNT's Final Broadcast And It's Awesome

NY Post - Stacy Sager, the wife of the late broadcasting legend Craig Sager, posted a tribute to her husband while marking the end of an era after the NBA on TNT concluded its run following the Knicks’ loss to the Pacers in Game 6 the Eastern Conference finals on Saturday night.

Stacy Sager, who married Craig in 2003, posted a picture to Instagram of all the mic flags Craig had collected over the course of his career in a tribute and reminder of the storied career Craig had, which included stints at TBS, TNT and CNN.

Craig Sager is of course remembered best for his time with the “NBA on TNT” while wearing his beloved flashy suits during broadcasts.

He died in 2016 at the age of 65 after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2014.

Awesome. As you are well aware, The NBA on TNT has come to a close on TNT, however the show will be living on a differen t network with the same crew moving forward. I do think that's great, but also fair to say it won't be the same. Something was calming and soothing about that desk, those guys, and all their antics as well as fantastic basketball knowledge every broadcast. It was something everyone, even casual NBA fans enjoyed.

Craig has been gone almost a decade, but he was such an integral part of the games for so many years. Literally everyone loved him. To see his wife post how much his career meant to him when he saved all his collection of mic flags is just terrific. I guess people or broadcasters who do it forever can be desensitized after a while. That interview with Lebron is just another interview, etc etc. But Craig alway felt like he cherished every moment and was excited to get to live out his dream. He clearly cherished it by never taking for granted every network, broadcast or show he was a part of and keeping a little momento of them with him forever. Just a really really awesome message that no matter how big you are or how many things you get to do, enjoy the ride every single step of the way.
