Buffalo Is Now Home To The Best Dynasty In Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs came into this season as two-time defending champs after winning Super Bowls LVII and LVIII. They fell short of their quest for the threepeat this year when the Philadelphia Eagles spanked the shit out of them in Super Bowl LIX.

The UConn men's basketball team came into this season as two-time defending champs after winning the National Championship in 2023 and 2024. They weren't able to pull off their chance at a threepeat this year when they lost to Florida in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament in March.

The Notre Dame men's lacrosse team came into this season as two-time defending champs after winning the National Championship in 2023 and 2024. Their hopes for a threepeat were crushed when they lost to Penn State in the quarterfinals last week.

There were plenty of teams who had a chance to win not one, not two, but three championships in a row this year. Almost all of them failed to achieve that historic number. And then here come the Buffalo Bandits.

Back-to-back-to-back.

Dynasties don't come around too often. Teams who can manage to win 3 championships over the span of 5-6 seasons are incredibly rare. But to do it three times in a row? That's an accomplishment strictly reserved for the greats. Kobe and the Lakers. Jordan and the Bulls. The New York Yankees. The Montreal Canadiens in the 70s.

And now you can add the Buffalo Bandits to that list.

Who ever thought that Buffalo would be home to one of the greatest dynasties in professional sports? This is a city who lost the Super Bowl 4 years in a row. A city whose hockey team has failed to even qualify for the playoffs for 14 straight years now. A city that is almost synonymous with losing is now home to a champion that most cities could only dream about having.

Congrats to the Buffalo Bandits, and here's to hoping the city of Buffalo is stocked with enough booze to handle the 3rd annual celebration this summer. Something tells me they may need to crack into the reserves at some point.
