If this was 15 years ago and she randomly hit The Dougie, she would've hit super stardom on unparalleled levels. Not like she's a slouch today, she's got around 400k followers on IG, but I'd never heard of her until this morning. What THE FUCK is that about? Plaster her over every billboard possible!
But it did make me feel better learning she literally dropped out of the clouds last year after dominating an open casting call. That's the beautiful world I know, choose love folks.
(SI) - Penny Lane has been nothing short of a breath of fresh air since arriving on the SI Swimsuit scene as a 2023 Swim Search finalist. After co-winning the annual open casting call and posing for her rookie shoot in Portugal, which was featured in the 2024 magazine, this grounded and brave model returns for a stunning feature from Switzerland for the 2025 issue.
But she's not just a bikini model, she's a role model too. And at this point she's 1 L-shaped quick pitch away from being a true triple option threat.
“On a more personal level, I share Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s passion for promoting healthy body standards, particularly in the fashion industry. It is heartening to see that there has been a shift towards more inclusive and body-positive representations in media and advertising, but there is still a long way to go,” Lane said in 2023. “I believe that everyone should be celebrated for their unique qualities and strengths, rather than being judged based on their appearance or conforming to narrow beauty standards.”
Shout out to her for breaking the mold and continuing to push body positivity on an international scale. I'm no scientist but I'd gladly accept reality if we end up cloning ONLY her DNA moving forward. Is that going too far on a Monday morning blog? Maybe.
