Drake Seriously Posted "Bieber Curse" On His Instagram Tonight After The Leafs Lost Game 7 In Toronto With Justin In Attendance

ESPN - No player in Stanley Cup playoff history has tormented an opponent like Florida Panthers winger Brad Marchand has tormented the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Panthers eliminated the Leafs, 6-1, in Game 7 on Sunday night, advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes. With the win, Marchand became the first player in NHL history to defeat the same opponent in at least five winner-take-all games. He moved to a perfect 5-0 in Game 7s against the Maple Leafs -- winning with the Boston Bruins in 2013, 2018, 2019 and 2024, before winning with the Panthers this postseason.

Marchand had a goal and two assists in the victory.

So Toronto blew another series and got their doors blown off at home tonight against the Panthers. And some guy named Brad Marchand dug most of the ditch to bury the Leafs body by himself. 

I freaking hate The Panthers, but goddamned, are they a great hockey team. Built for the playoffs. It's incredible. 

And talk about not showing up. Toronto are you kidding me? Really just let Florida waltz into your living room and kick the shit out of you again like that? Whitney had a great question-

But that's not what this blog is about. It's about Drake and the biebs. 

Justin and his wife Hailey were at the game tonight, sitting right behind his beloved team's bench. 

Poor guy. 

He's really going through it lately and this certainly didn't make matters any better. Watching your team get skull fucked like that up close and personal, in such a high-stakes game is definitely going to cause more trauma. 

But I gotta talk about this Drake post. 

And I gotta be honest. Drake has grown on me a lot since this whole Kendrick feud and rap battle boiled over into the entire planet selling their Drake stock and pretending they never listened to the guy billions and billions of times for the past 15 years. 

Being as atune as he is to what's going on everywhere at all times, and knowing that this picture has been flying around all week. Especially tonight.

Because Drake went and laid a million dollars on The Leafs tonight and bragged about it online before the puck dropped. 

And knowing how he probably received a few hundred thousand pissed-off Toronto fans blasting his story with versions of "OH NO" replies and comments, his story response blaming the loss on a "Bieber Curse" is laugh out loud funny. 

It's self-deprecation without being obvious about it. It must fucking suck being a jinx or a hex or a curse to your favorite sports team. You can't go to the games. You can't even publicly cheer for them. Aside from people freaking out on you blaming you for being the reason they suck, you always have that little tiny voice way in the back of your head asking you, "what if I really am a jinx to this team?". 

It's enough to make you never want to root for them again. Just in hopes that you swing the mojo 180 degrees and propel them to success. 

And when you root for a team as snake-bitten as the Maple Leafs, its just comical at this point. They're like the Cubs of the NHL before Rizzo broke the curse. Their fans sit their wondering what new and twisted way they're going to find to torture them year after year. Like a fucked up sports version of the Saw movies. 

Serious respect tho for Bieber's optimism
