'Learn Chinese' - Duolingo Came From The Goddamn Clouds To Mock Johni Broome's Draft Combine, Basically Said He's Not Going To Play In The NBA

Got the NBA Draft combine underway and they are trying their best to make it a TV event like the NFL. It's nearly impossible to care about and I say this as someone who loves the sport. But we had Johni Broome there yesterday and he put up, well, he put up a disaster in the vertical leap. Dude just can't jump, pretty sure anyone who watched Auburn this year would have told you that. He's got the old school post game, relies on footwork, all that stuff. But it's not the stat about the big man from Florida outjumping him, it's Duolingo coming from the goddamn clouds to tell him he'll never play in the NBA

Good God, man. Look, funny is funny, so I'm not going to sit here and try to be like this is bad, companies shouldn't do this. I don't care. It's just the fact that Duolingo of all things were the ones to come out for blood.

There's plenty of jokes about Broome out there. The fact he was in college for 19 years, dominated guys as a super senior, all this stuff. Again, this is typically made by Rico Bosco and other Alabama fans who reside within the state. I'll be honest, I had only somewhat heard of Duolingo. I know the concept of the app, never used it, but for the last day it's all I've thought about, mostly because the PGA Championship leaderboard sucks right now in terms of big names. Telling the dude he better learn Shanghai Sharks is how you get people talking about your company. Not just any guy either, we're talking about the only person in the NPOY race with Cooper Flagg. It's not like Broome was some bum at Auburn or anything.

This is one of the most direct shots I've seen on Twitter. No ricochet, no hiding what they were saying, just going right after Johni Broome from nowhere.
